The huge punishment Man City and Chelsea could soon face from the Premier League

The Premier League could reportedly punish Manchester City and Chelsea.

Manchester City and Chelsea are two of the richest clubs in the world, let alone the Premier League. These two clubs are able to spend millions due to the revenue they generate and some of the biggest wage bills in the world. While the two clubs are backed financially well, they are also close to facing problems like breaching FFP rules. The Premier League has already warned Chelsea to gain over $100 million by June in order to avoid any issues with FFP. Man City, on the other hand, has 115 charges, and the Premier League has yet to punish them, unlike Nottingham Forest and Everton.

Everton received a 10-point deduction earlier in the season for breaching FFP rules, and then later, the deduction was reduced to six points. A few days ago, Nottingham Forest became the second team to get deducted points by the Premier League. Nottingham Forest was deducted four points and are now in the relegation zone. Many football fans were annoyed to see Manchester City not receiving any punishment as of yet since they have 115 charges from the Premier League. That could soon change as Man City and Chelsea could face a huge punishment from the Premier League.

According to the Sun Football, Both Manchester City and Chelsea were warned that they could be expelled from the Premier League if they were found guilty of violating the rules of the Financial Fair Play. Man City already has charges against them that could soon be determined if they are found guilty or not. Chelsea has reportedly been overspending a limit they are supposed to go under and will face the same punishment as Man City
