However, with the 31-year-old under contract until 2027 and suffering a season-ending ankle injury, offloading the player will be more challenging. Le Parisien reported on Tuesday Neymar will still be for sale this summer, but PSG has doubts about the feasibility of a transfer.
PSG fears that he will not be able to meet the medical examination requirements due to his very fragile feet. The risk of it being rejected is considered high. As a result, the Brazilian might remain in the French capital for another season.
Nonetheless, if, in one summer transfer window, the Ligue 1 giants can offload the wages of Messi and Neymar, it will go a long way in using that money to build a more well-balanced squad with plenty of depth.
But for now, that seems like a dream scenario as it’s likely that PSG will need to consider Neymar’s wages while plotting the moves they’ll make this summer.
