TRUSSVILLE, Alabama — Authorities have identified the three members of a Liberty, Mississippi, family who lost their lives following a devastating crash involving two tractor-trailers on Interstate 59 North near Trussville, Alabama.
The victims were Dquarious Butler, 29, his wife Dominque Butler, 32, and their 5-year-old daughter, Nailani Butler.
According to investigators, the collision occurred at approximately 7:12 a.m. Tuesday in a construction zone along I-59 North.
Preliminary information indicates that two semi-trucks were involved in the crash while the Butler family was traveling together.

Emergency crews quickly responded to the scene as traffic was brought to a standstill.
Authorities said Dominque Butler and Nailani Butler were pronounced dead at the scene. Dquarious Butler was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where he later died despite lifesaving efforts by medical personnel.
Officials also confirmed that three other children from the Butler family survived the crash and were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
Their current conditions have not been publicly released, and authorities have not identified them out of respect for their privacy.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) continues investigating what caused the collision.
Investigators are examining evidence from the scene, vehicle data, and witness statements to determine the circumstances that led to the crash inside the construction zone. No additional information about possible contributing factors has been released.
