Kylian Mbappé is closer than ever to going to Real Madrid, but one player prefers Haaland.
The Kylian Mbappé case to Real Madrid is still on fire, therefore, it has not been confirmed that the transfer will take place, but it is a reality that Le Parisien announced exclusively that the 25-year-old French forward will end his time at Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Now, although the topic is hotter than ever, there is a Real Madrid starting player who, in an interview, acknowledged that he preferred Erling Haaland over Kylian Mbappé. This is the Ukrainian goalkeeper, Andriy Lunin, a goalkeeper who has won the position from Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The question was clear, “Kylian Mbappé or Erling Haaland?”, to which he unexpectedly responded: “As number 9, Erling Haaland.” It is true that he only talks about the center forward position, however, no one asked him that.
Lunin understood that they signed Kepa:
“There was no need to tell me that they were going to sign a goalkeeper, I understood it perfectly. There was no surprise that another goalkeeper would come… I have a contract until 2025. This is the idea, this is the plan. But I don’t even know what can happen.” Furthermore, Lunin told what it feels like to succeed at Real Madrid: “It’s something incredible when the Santiago Bernabéu chants your name, for a boy like me from a town of 30,000 inhabitants. “I never imagined it, it is something from another world.”
