She Was Limping With A Swollen Paw Near An Embankment, But She Refused Any Help

Tinkerbell, a huge 10-year-old Mastiff, was found several feet below in a river embankment 25 miles from central Los Angeles.

She had been there for about 3 weeks, starving and crying from the pain from a broken paw. A Good Samaritan spotted her and informed “Hope For Paws” about the dog’s ordeal.

As the rescuers climbed down the embankment, they were surprised to see that Tinkerbell wasn’t too thrilled with their presence.

After a good amount of chasing the growling dog, they finally got hold of her using a snare. However, the dog was too heavy to be lifted up without external help.

The onlookers who were watching the rescue from above called the fire department and requested them to help the rescuers.

After the firefighters arrived, it was easy to send Tinkerbell up toward the rescue van. The rescuers thanked the crew, and rushed to get the distressed dog checked at the vet’s.

A quick microchip scan revealed that Tinkerbell was actually a missing dog from Arizona!

As the rescuers contacted her family, they learned that the dog had got spooked by the 4th of July fireworks while the family was visiting Los Angeles for the holiday!

Toward the end of this video, we get to see Tinkerbell’s emotional reunion with her family after weeks of hardship! The poor girl was really aching to see her family again all this time!

She is now recovering from her broken paw in the comfort of her home. Get well soon, sweetie!
