Klopp Advised on the Perfect Timing to Secure Salah Deal for Bringing Mbappe to Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp has been persuaded by former Liverpool right back Glen Johnson to use the transfer fee money received from Saudi Arabia to purchase Kylian Mbappe in January. This summer, Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad made a massive £150 million offer for Egyptian sensation Mohamed Salah, and they are likely to make another go at Salah when the transfer market reopens in January.

An offer of £200 million was discussed, which would have been in line with PSG’s assessment of Mbappe. Formerly demanding a transfer away from Parc des Princes, the Frenchman has now opened contract extension discussions with the current Ligue 1 winners.

The 24-year-old will thus not be leaving on a free next summer. Mbappe has the option of signing a one-year extension to keep him under contract until 2025, or signing a new long-term agreement.

Despite widespread speculation that Mbappe will join Real Madrid, manager Carlo Ancelotti recently shot down such rumors by declaring that his “squad is closed” and therefore ending any possibility of a transfer. It’s been stated that Klopp is a big fan of the player and would want to sign him if it meant giving up his top player to the Saudis.

Johnson is skeptical that Mbappe would be interested, but he believes that Liverpool has the greatest chance of accomplishing the deal by selling Salah in January, when the Reds can get the most money for the 31-year-old. I predicted that it would occur. Mo will not be able to maintain his current level of play forever, and if Liverpool can get a lot of money for a player of their age, it will be hard for them to refuse the offer, as he informed GGrecon.

If Mo is keen on making the switch, Liverpool stands to gain a fortune by selling him in January, despite the fact that he will be 30 years old by then.

The top teams in Europe and Saudi Arabia will be competing for Kylian, and although we all admire Liverpool’s data-driven approach to player acquisition, there are times when you need to attempt to acquire the greatest player available.

I doubt Kylian would want to play for Liverpool, and I don’t think he’ll ever transfer to the Premier League.
