Exciting news for Mainoo as Southgate expresses interest in welcoming him to the England team. A fantastic opportunity awaits!

Quoting from The Sun, coach Gareth Southgate hinted at the possibility of calling up Kobbie Mainoo to the England team.
Kobbie Mainoo has impressed since breaking into the Manchester United first team. The 18-year-old has hardly missed a match since making his first appearance of the season against Everton in November.

Mainoo has scored in his matches in recent weeks and has now caught the eye of Gareth Southgate. The England coach also hinted at calling up talent born in 2005, quoted from The Sun:

“Mainoo is playing really well. I’m not sure if Mainoo is necessarily a defensive midfielder, but he’s a pretty progressive player. He’s had a great start to his career.” and it would be good if England followed him as they want to move forward.”

Southgate may have to act quickly to secure Mainoo as the Man Utd star is being looked at by another country he is eligible to play for – Ghana.

Randy Abbey, a member of the executive council of the Ghana Football Association, once told The Times about wanting to win Mainoo’s services.
