Cristiano Ronaldo’s first words after potentially facing suspension for gestures

Cristiano Ronaldo made some inappropriate gestures to a crowd chanting ‘Messi, Messi’.

Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his competitiveness and always wants to prove people wrong on the pitch. Ronaldo has shown what he can do on the pitch for years and is still playing at 39 years of age. Ronaldo is doing great with his current team, Al Nassr, in the Saudi Pro League and recently won a game against Al Shabab. While the game was intense, Ronaldo, with high emotions, made a rude gesture to the opposition fans when he was heckled by those fans and chanted, “Messi, Messi.”

Despite Ronaldo and Al Nassr beating Al Shabab 3-2, Ronaldo could face punishment for his gestures to the rival crowd. The disciplinary committee of the Saudi League is demanding a two-match suspension for Cristiano Ronaldo after his obscene gesture towards supporters, who were chanting “Messi, Messi.”

Ronaldo spoke to the disciplinary committee, and the Saudi press has released the Portuguese striker’s statement for the obscene celebration towards the rival fans. Ronaldo’s statement to the disciplinary committee read, “I respect all the clubs; the movement recorded expresses strength and victory, and we are accustomed to it in Europe.”

Despite Ronaldo’s possible two-match ban, it is unknown if the Committee considers him guilty. His manager, Luís Castro, continues with the usual preparation and has included Ronaldo in the list of players called up for Thursday’s Saudi Pro League game against Al Hazem. This suggests the coach does not expect any punishment for Ronaldo ahead of the next game.
