Two people were killed and two others were injured during a mass śh́óóting at a beach party in California, cops announced Monday.
The victims had all been at Moss State Landing Beach in Monterey County when bullets flew just after midnight on Monday morning.
Two people were found dead at the scene while a third was at a local hospital and the fourth has non-life-threatening injuries.

Pictures from the scene show red cups spread across the sand as well as other litter following the event following the Halloween weekend.
During a press conference on Monday, cops gave no idea of a motive, identity or if the victims knew each other.

Monterey County Sheriff Cmdr. Andy Rosas said they did not have any information on a suspect but added there was no threat to the community.
He said deputies were called to Jetty Road near State Route 1, which falls about halfway between Monterey and Santa Cruz.
North County Fire Protection Chief Jess Cortez told KTVU the two dead victims had gunshot wounds to the chest.
The scene was cleared about 2.40 a.m., the outlet reported.
An earlier statement from the sheriff’s office said: “Monterey County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Detectives are currently on scene of a śh́óóting that occurred just after midnight on November 2, 2026, along Jetty Road in Moss Landing.
“There are multiple fatalities and casualties confirmed. California State Parks Police have closed Jetty Road and Moss Landing State Beach at the request of the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.”
