PALM SPRINGS, Florida — The Florida Learjet 𝔠r𝘢sh Sunday wiped out a young Texas family of four, their two friends and nanny — along with a seasoned pilot and a 20-year-old co-pilot.
The victims of the horrifying 𝔠r𝘢sh were identified as multimillionaire tech exec Adam Robinson, 44, wife Helen Sharp, and their tots kids Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2, Robinson’s brother confirmed Monday.
“Helen and Adam were the love affair that will last forever,” Robinson’s brother said in a post on social media.
Also aboard were friends Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr and nanny Anita Maria Apellido Cetina.
The Post confirmed that the pilot in command was 55-year-old Jeff Gregory. He was heard reciting the Lord’s Prayer in an Air Traffic Control radio transmission in the final seconds before the $2 million chartered Learjet 60 plunged into the ground and disintigrated outside a mobile home park.
The co-pilot was Nathalia Filgueiras, 20, who got her pilot’s license while still in high school. She is heard screaming and pleading for help in the final radio traffic.
Adam Robinson, who was based in Austin, was founder and CEO of software companies Retention.com and RB2B. He previously worked at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital, according to his LinkedIn profile.
“Adam and Helen were devoted parents, and Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2, were the light of their lives,” according to a family post.
Their friends, Charmi and Rachael “were full of joy and adventure. They loved their people fiercely, fully and without hesitation,” the social media tribute said.
Anita Maria “cared for Emma and Charlie with tenderness and devotion, and she was truly part of the family. She showed us a legacy of unconditional love and devotion,” the statement continued.
Helen was a ceramics artist who frequently shared videos of her works on her Instagram, as well as pictures of the couple’s two sweet young children.
Federal investigators have not determined what caused the jet to plummet from the sky, however, was flying through temperatures of -50 degrees Farenheit and started to pick up ice and hit heavy turbulence, authorities said on Monday.
The plane began to break up before impact, scattering debris over a half-mile radius, the National Transportation Safety Board confirmed in a press conference.
Investigators haven’t determined whether the plane had a black box cockpit voice recorder — or if the device survived.
They also haven’t determined Filgueriras’ role as she relayed the horrifying situation in real-time to air traffic controls. But her voice on the harrowing air traffic control recording could indicate she wasn’t at the stick, said aviation attorney Zachary S. Gorwitz of Podhurst Orseck, which specializes in air crashes.
“The fact that this 20 year co-pilot was the one on the radio suggests the pilot was at the controls,” he told The Post on Monday.
