A cheating wife caught by her husband in bed with her lover and the married couple’s two kids appeared unfazed Thursday, taking her children shopping as her husband sat in jail accused of stabbing the other man to dєatᩚh.
Ismael Pinedalopez, 34, allegedly stabbed Nicholas Garcia, 28, to dєatᩚh with a pocketknife inside Pinedalopez’s Anaheim home on Oct. 24, after allegedly catching Garcia in his underwear in his bed with Pinedalopez’s two children, aged two and four.
The Post spotted Wendy, Pinedalopez’s partner and mother of the two kids, on a shopping trip. She appeared solemn while carrying a young girl in her arm and holding a young boy’s hand with her other arm. Wendy wore jeans and a dark-green T-shirt.
She was also spotted in a change of clothes while running more errands at a local Walmart.
Wendy refused to comment about the alleged murder when asked by a California Post reporter, saying, “I don’t want to talk about it.”
Her brother, 20-year-old Elvis Clemente, also reflected the sentiment as the family deals with the fallout from the alleged murder.
“My sister has said she doesn’t want to talk about it. It’s not a subject I want to talk about as well,” he told The Post.
A neighbor, 71-year-old Elizabeth Polanco, said Pinedalopez worked nights and took care of their kids while his wife worked during the day. Officials said Pinedalopez found his wife cheating after he came home from work early, and Polanco indicated the αttαᑕk occurred around 4:15 a.m.
Polanco said she never spotted Garcia at the home. She praised Pinedalopez’s skills as a father and previously described him as a “very nice, easygoing” man.
“He was a very good father,” she said. “He was always walking in the street with the boy and the girl.”
Dramatic video obtained from a neighbor showed Pinedalopez being walked out of the house and into a waiting police cruiser after the alleged αttαᑕk with a pocketknife on October 24.
Officials said Pinedalopez was found bloodied after allegedly stabbing Garcia multiple times.
Police found Garcia’s body in the couple’s bedroom.
Wendy and the couple’s children were not hurt.
Pinedalopez has been charged with felony murder and an additional felony enhancement allegation of personally using a diᩚadℓy w𝔢𝔞𝔭𝔬η.
He has an arraignment court date and bail review set for Dec. 1 after waiving an earlier opportunity to be arraigned, court records show.
Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer expressed horror that the very young children witnessed the alleged murder.
“Violence is never the answer, and it is truly heartbreaking that these young children had to witness their father commit such a horrific act of brutality in their own home,” Spitzer said.
Pinedalopez faces a maximum sentence of 26 years to life if convicted on all counts. He has retained an attorney, George Karl Rosenstock of The United Firm.
Orange County Senior Deputy District Attorney Mark Birney of the Homicide Unit is prosecuting the case.
