Patrick Clancy opened up about the heartache of having to “live with the outcome” after his – but believes he did “the best” he could.

The grieving father said he suffers through the horrors of Lindsay Clancy’s actions “every day” during the , which airs Sunday night, when CBS correspondent Ross Douthat asked if he feels angry at himself or that he failed in some way.

“I think I did the best I could with what I had at the time,” Patrick Clancy, 38, said.

“I live with the outcome. I live with it every day.”

Lindsay Clancy killed their three young children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, in January 2023 in what her defense claims was a fit of postpartum psychosis.

Her high-profile murder trial, which gripped the nation, ended in an after a lone holdout refused to find her not guilty by reason of insanity.

Patrick Clancy, who took the stand on the first day of the trial, now lives in New York and has since remarried.

On the witness stand, the heartbroken father painted a picture of his ex as a loving mother, sharing that she’d “make up songs” with the children and cook them special meals like green eggs and ham.

“60 Minutes” has been teasing snippets of the upcoming episode over the past week, with some clips detailing how Patrick Clancy met his new wife, Rachel Danis, and how he “still talks” to his dead children.

Danis appears by his side during the interview and defends Patrick Clancy as “the most selfless father and supportive partner.”

Eleven jurors agreed Lindsay Clancy was not guilty by reason of insanity, but believed the 𝘬iᩚller mom was guilty of murder.

Earlier this week, Desronvil made a statement insisting he “didn’t have any doubts” and that “based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presented, I thought it was enough proof that she (Clancy) knew exactly what she was doing and planned.”

The panel, made up of nine women and three men, sent out three impasse notes. After seven days of deliberations, Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial.

Lindsay Clancy is due back in court Sept. 29, when prosecutors will likely reveal whether they will retry her case on the same charges, downgrade them, work out a plea deal or drop the case altogether.
