‘SECRET SIGNALS’—B0DY LANGUAGE EXPERT CLAIMS LINDSAY CLANCY SENT SUBTLE MESSAGES DURING EMOTIONAL FIRST COURTROOM ENCOUNTER WITH EX-HUSBAND SINCE THE DE-ATHS OF THEIR THREE CHILDREN
LINDSAY Clancy was giving secret signals as she saw her ex-husband in court for the first time since the night she strangled their three children to death, a body language expert told The U.S. Sun.
Lindsay, 35, with exercise bands in the basement of their Massachusetts home on while her then-husband Patrick Clancy was briefly out of the home running errands.

As Patrick entered the courtroom for the first time, Lindsay appeared to let out a deep breath as she pursed her lips together.
Lindsay’s defense attorney Kevin Reddington to the Daily Mail that this was the first time Lindsay had seen Patrick since the night of January 24, 2023.
Traci Brown, a body language expert, told The U.S. Sun that Patrick walking into court got Lindsay’s attention.
“She was trying to completely check out of the whole situation, and then he walked in and she went “Oh, right,’” Brown said.
“And you saw her go into fear and sadness at the same time. And that’s, that’s her eyebrows.”
Brown said that a person’s forehead is like a billboard, and their eyebrows are the writing on the billboard that gives some insight into what a person is thinking.
“We saw her eyebrows go up. So that’s going to say fear or surprise,” she explained.
“And then we saw the tips of them go up in the middle, that can say sadness.”
“So, she had a lot of emotion going on there,” Brown added.
Brown also picked up on Lindsay rolling her lips a lot in court, which she said is sometimes done by a person “holding something back.”

On the second day, he picked back up, recalling going to CVS to pick up medicine for Cora, grabbing dinner, and then
Patrick was cross-examined later in the day, where he revealed how Lindsay made up songs for the kids and would read to them.
He was also shown a series of posts Lindsay shared with photos in the years before the kids’ deaths.
When he was excused from the stand, Patrick kept his head down as he swiftly left the courtroom.
Lindsay’s head was slightly pointed down with her gaze appearing to be fixated on the table in front of her.
When asked about what she picked up on from Lindsay and Patrick not looking at one another after his testimony, Brown told The U.S. Sun, “I think they’re both trying to keep that separation between them there.”
Lindsay has had a few moments in court where , but has also kept her gaze down and remained expressionless on other occasions.
She could be seen as the 911 call Patrick made was played for the jury, but muted on the broadcast due to
Lindsay’s hands were over her face as she cried, which Brown said is referred to as “eye blocking.”
“That’s when you don’t want to see something. So you’re mostly keeping information out when you cover your eyes.
“It could be keeping information in. But I think in this case it was trying to keep it out because it’s a painful moment.”
Most of the time when Lindsay is seen in court, her hair covers most of her face, which Brown feels “may be deeply unconscious, but it is purposeful.”
“She may not realize that she’s doing it. But you don’t want to discount anything that that she’s doing because it all has meaning.”
Brown said that Lindsay’s body language has revealed that she’s trying to “block out as much as she can and disappear as much as you can.”
“I noticed that she is trying to take up as small of a space as she can. She’s not trying to be big and bold in this situation.
“She’s trying to minimize her impact in the room. And and you can do that with your hair. You can do that with turning away. You can do that with looking down.
“She’s doing all of those things to disengage.”
As the trial continues, that she is not criminally responsible for the deaths of her children because she was suffering from undiagnosed .
The prosecution will argue that Lindsay deliberately killed her children, and “gave herself the time and privacy needed to commit the murders,” prosecutor Jennifer Sprague of the Plymouth County DA’s Office said.
