(FOX40.COM) — Three teenage girls are being charged with multiple felonies, including arson after throwing a firework into a Citrus Heights home, police said.

The Citrus Heights Police Department said officers received reports of the incident around 7:01 p.m. on June 30.

According to a GoFundMe created by one of the homeowner’s family members, the firework was thrown through a window, landing in the nursery of the child the couple was expecting.

No one was injured, but the room and the contents were damaged.

CHPD said the three girls were arrested in connection with the incident and charged with aggravated arson, arson, burglary and conspiracy.

The ages and the motive of the suspects are currently unknown.
