Witnessing Mbappe’s talent on display alongside legends Ronaldo and Messi is truly remarkable. The future of football looks extremely promising!

Kylian Mbappe gave an intriguing answer when talking about football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Mbappe appears on Netflix’s new six-episode documentary series, which offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

During the show, the Paris Saint-Germain striker was asked about Messi, who led Argentina to World Cup glory last year, and Ronaldo. In an interesting angle, Mbappe said Messi and Ronaldo were better players than him, but the French star told himself that he was the best.

Sportbible website quoted Mbappe’s words as follows: “Messi and Cristiano are better players than me, but I always tell myself that I am the best.”

This is not the first time the 25-year-old phenomenon has shared his thoughts about the superstar couple. Earlier this year, he was asked if he could provide similar competition to that of Messi and Ronaldo against Manchester City’s goal machine Erling Haaland.

Mbappe shared with La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Things should be thought differently. Maybe every 50 years or more there are two players like Messi and Ronaldo at that level.”

“We have been through a special era and I hope the fans have enjoyed it. I was lucky to play against Cristiano and play with Leo: they are truly special. I learned a lot from them, especially with Messi. They wrote football history: they are eternal.”

Mbappe has yet to match the achievements of Messi and Ronaldo, who have both won individual and team awards at both club and national team levels. Ronaldo and Messi have won a total of 13 Ballons d’Or and these two legends have won championships in England, Spain, France and Italy, not to mention Champions League and international titles.

Mbappe certainly wants to follow the path of these two superstars. The PSG striker helped France win the 2018 World Cup. Mbappe has maintained impressive performance over the years and is considered the successor to Ronaldo and Messi to become the number 1 star in world football.
