Tough news for Man City as they face Urawa Red Diamonds. Stay tuned for the confirmed lineup and team news, including an update on Erling Haaland’s injury.

Erling Haaland is not expected to be involved as Manchester City look to beat Urawa Red Diamonds to reach the Club World Cup final.

The striker has missed City’s last three games – wins over Luton and Red Star Belgrade and a draw with Crystal Palace – with a foot injury, but has joined the rest of his team-mates in Saudi Arabia for the mid-season tournament. Fellow injured first-team stars Kevin De Bruyne and Jeremy Doku have also traveled.

De Bruyne took part in light training on the King Abdullah Sports City pitch on Tuesday, but there was no sign of Haaland or Doku.

Haaland is unlikely to be risked against the Japanese side, with a potentially tougher test in the final to come. Instead, Julian Alvarez should again lead the line and could be supported by a mix of youth of experience in the form of Bernardo Silva and Oscar Bobb.

Matheus Nunes is fit again and should start, with Kalvin Phillips desperate for chances despite a likely transfer exit in January. Second-choice Stefan Ortega will certainly start in goal.
