Ten Hag is set to say farewell to its best fulcrum in the Champions League at a key stage.

According to sources from Team Talk, Manchester United defender Raphael Varane has identified Serie A as the tournament he can move to when he leaves MU.

Varane is going downhill at Man Utd, only starting 4 of the first 12 matches in the 2023-24 Premier League. Varane’s contract will expire at the end of next season.

The above source also revealed that Varane is exploring his options in Europe instead of Saudi Arabia and that the former Real Madrid star could leave as soon as this January when he receives a lot of interest from teams. Top.

Most recently, Bayern Munich has shown interest in Varane, however updated information from The Sun shows that Varane may be eyeing Italy.

The Sun claim that Varane is “keen” to test himself in Serie A, which remains famous as one of the best leagues for defenders to showcase their skills. However, things may be difficult because MU will oppose his departure in January.

Erik ten Hag certainly does not want his squad to be short in the middle of the season, especially when MU may have to compete for the Champions League race. Varane, with 4 C1 Cup championships, is the biggest fulcrum for the Dutch coach.

It is still unclear which Italian club could hunt for Varane, but at the age of 30, the 2018 world champion’s appeal is still enormous. There are many French stars playing in Serie A, such as Theo Hernandez (AC Milan), Benjamin Pavard (Inter) and Adrien Rabiot (Juventus).

Let’s wait and see if Varane chooses a new stop or stays at MU to prove his ability until the end of the 2023/24 season.
