According to a source from Marca newspaper, Real Madrid does not regret nor care about Mbappe’s stay at Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
Mbappe changed his mind at the decisive moment. This player is likely to extend his contract with PSG after a long period of conflict. The Paris team has lifted Mbappe’s training ban and is ready to arrange this player to play in the Toulouse match in the second round of Ligue 1.
However, according to Marca, Real Madrid does not consider Mbappe’s change of attitude and staying at PSG as a failure. The team’s top players have learned a lot over the years. That is why even when the conflict between Mbappe and PSG reached its peak, Real Madrid did not take any action. They mostly just keep silent and minimize comments on this deal.
Real Madrid have been keeping a close eye on Mbappe since 2017, even when he was still at Monaco. After the failure of the Mbappe deal two years ago when PSG rejected an offer of 200 million euros, Los Blancos always kept the maximum secret in this deal. Before the opening match of La Liga against Bilbao, coach Carlo Ancelotti denied that the club wanted to recruit the French striker.
