Neymar has been injured these past eight to nine months as he suffered an ACL injury last October during a match between Brazil and Uruguay in a World Cup qualifier. He has been working on his recovery in Brazil and at the Al Hilal facilities, but now he gives some good news to his fans, Al Hilal, and the Brazilian national team. Neymar posted his cleats on his Instagram boots and wrote, “Back to wearing the boots after eight months.” Neymar has been posting clips of his rehab in the gym, which consists of simple exercises that give him great condition and strength in his legs. Neymar will not be playing in the Copa America this summer and is expected to be back on the pitch fully fit at the start of next season with Al Hilal.

Neymar also posted himself at the gym to continue his rehab training. The Brazilian star was seen juggling the ball on the pitch a few weeks ago and even on the beach. Neymar is excited to play football again and wanted to have played more for Al Hilal this past season since he only made five appearances for the new team he joined last summer.

Neymar talked about his injury and mentioned how he is feeling a couple of days ago. Neymar said, “At the beginning of my injury, the doctors told me that I would return to playing after 6-7 months, but as more tests were done, the chance of re-injury decreasing if it took longer. So they are very careful. Rodrigo Lasmar with the physiotherapist, and also the Al Hilal doctor, are always in talks.”

Neymar on when he will come back

Neymar was asked when his comeback to the pitch will most likely be. The Brazilian star said, “Of course, we want to come back as soon as possible, but at the same time, we are not in a rush. I want to come back when I’m 100% recovered.”

Neymar expressed how hard the injury was on him as he said, “It’s an injury where you not only take care of your knee, but it affects you mentally as well. It affects you a lot mentally. I have to admit it hurt me a lot mentally, I suffered bouts of sadness and stress from being away so much.”
