Soccer legend Neymar announced the birth of his third child in July 2024

Neymar is Brazil’s national soccer team’s highest scorer, but according to one of his friends, he’s also an “incredible” father to his three kids, Davi Lucca, Mavie and Helena.
The soccer star, whose full name is Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, became a father for the first time in August 2011 when he welcomed his first child, son Davi Lucca, with Carolina Dantas. Neymar’s second child, daughter Mavie, followed 12 years later, in October 2023, during his relationship with Bruna Biancardi. In July 2024, less than nine months after Mavie’s birth, the midfielder announced he had welcomed a third child, daughter Helena, with Amanda Kimberlly.
Before Neymar became a dad of three, NBA star Jimmy Butler told The Guardian in January 2024 that the athlete is an “incredible dad” who “does so much for them.”
Butler continued, “He’s always around them, teaching them everything about life, about whatever they want to put their mind to. Man, it’s incredible to watch. And I learn from it.”
While Neymar has a busy career, combining his Brazil duties with playing for Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League, he spends a lot of time with his children, often sharing photos of them on social media and bringing them on the field after games.
Here’s everything to know about Neymar’s three kids: Davi Lucca, Mavie and Helena.

Neymar and Dantas had their first child, Davi Lucca da Silva Santos, on Aug. 24, 2011.
His mother is an influencer who has since welcomed another son, Valentin Marquez, with her partner Vinicius Martinez. Neymar and Dantas seem to have an amicable relationship, as the trio went on vacation in Ibiza together with friends and relatives in 2021.
Davi Lucca also has a close relationship with his father’s former girlfriend Biancardi, who paid tribute to him on his 12th birthday in 2023. Calling him a “very special boy,” on her Instagram Stories, she wrote, “Thank you for welcoming me into your life! Count on me always, I love you!
Davi Lucca has joined his father on the soccer pitch many times, including when Neymar won the Copa Del Rey with Barcelona in 2017. He also appeared on the field after Brazil won gold in soccer at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
And, in 2018, Neymar brought his son to the Brazil soccer team’s training base in Sochi, Russia, before the start of the World Cup. When Neymar played for Paris Saint-Germain, Davi Lucca was often seen at their training ground with his father, too. The father-son duo even went to Disneyland Paris along with Neymar’s mother, Nadine Gonçalves, at the time.
Mavie da Silva Santos

Neymar and Biancardi welcomed their daughter, Mavie da Silva Santos, on Oct. 6, 2023.
The then-couple shared the news in a joint Instagram post. They wrote, as translated from Portuguese, “Our Mavie came to complete our lives. Welcome, daughter! You are already very loved by us… thank you for choosing us.”
Neymar and Biancardi explained that her name is a combination of the words “minha” and “vida” which together mean “my life” in Portuguese.
The former couple announced that they were expecting a baby together in April 2023 with a joint Instagram post, writing, “We dream about your life, plan for your arrival, and know that you are here to complete our love and make our days much happier.”
One month after Mavie was born, her parents ended their relationship. Biancardi wrote on Instagram, “I inform you that I am not in a relationship. We are Mavie’s parents, and that is the reason for our bond.”
In May 2024, Mavie went on vacation to Saudi Arabia with her parents, who both shared photos on Instagram. Biancardi shared a photo of herself holding Mavie in the ocean, with the caption, “Love of my whole life… Your joy is contagious.”
Neymar shared a photo of himself and Mavie smiling, with the caption, “My sweetheart. Daddy loves you so much.”
That month, Neymar brought Mavie onto the field with him after his team won the Saudi Pro League. A few days later, Biancardi took their daughter to the Cannes Film Festival.

Less than nine months after the birth of Mavie, Neymar and Kimberlly welcomed their daughter Helena on July 3, 2024.
The soccer star’s Instagram announcement featured photos of the newborn and of himself and Davi Lucca admiring Helena soon after her birth.
Kimberlly also shared the news on her Instagram with the caption, “my favorite month, july †.”
