Neymar has auctioned Paris Saint-Germain’s tribute award to Lionel Messi during the third edition of the Brazilian superstar’s charity auction in Sao Paolo.
The Ligue 1 giants awarded Messi the special tribute award after announcing his departure from PSG, after spending two years with the Parisians.

Famous streamer, Casemiro, won the third-most expensive item of the night as he offered $173,000 for the Lionel Messi trophy.
Among the lots put up for auction are the last Brazil national team jersey signed by Pelé and Neymar, and a poker game with the PSG ace, NeymarNJR reports.
The money raised at the auction will be used to fund projects created by the Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr., whose primary goal is to ‘promote social inclusion’ for those from the ages of 7 to 18, by providing them with innovative and complementary fields of study.
This initiative involving the Brazilian star is particularly focused on lowering school dropout rates.
Neymar backs Messi’s MLS move
Meanwhile, according to ESPN, Neymar has revealed that Messi’s decision to join Inter Miami will be a game-changer for Major League Soccer and football in the United States.
The Brazilian superstar insists his friend’s arrival in the US will make the MLS more popular to neutrals than it already is and asked everyone to enjoy watching the Argentina star.
Messi announced his decision to join David Beckham’s Inter Miami in the States once his contract with Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of this month.
Neymar loses 80,000 followers
Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Neymar’s public apology to his partner doing little to weather the storm the PSG star faces after allegedly cheating.
The 31-year-old penned a public apology on Instagram recently, showing remorse for cheating on Bruna Biancardi, with whom he is expecting a child.
Neymar has lost 80,000 followers on Instagram after reportedly admitting that he cheated on the model, with fans enraged at the Brazilian’s actions.
