Neymar is the Brazilian with the most goals in international football

With his goal against Canada in the semifinal of the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024, Lionel Messi tied Iran’s Ali Daei as the second highest scorer in international football history.

The Argentine remains behind Cristiano Ronaldo, who tops the ranking with 130 goals for Portugal. Brazil’s all-time top scorer is Neymar with 79 goals, as he surpassed the record previously held by Pelé (77).

At 32 years old, the former Santos player is far from the top but can still climb some spots within the top 10. He is currently in tenth place, tied with Godfrey Chitalu of Zambia.
