Kylian Mbappé made his decision clear when reports suggested a couple of months ago that he wouldn’t extend his contract with Paris Saint Germain. He decided to join Real Madrid this summer as a free agent, and the French star made a sacrifice to play for Los Blancos next season. Mbappé was one of the best-paid players in the world and had a huge salary that many European players dreamed of.

Mbappé was the best-paid player in the PSG squad and the best-paid player in Europe. After winning multiple league trophies with the French club and getting close to winning the Champions League, Mbappé decided to move to Real Madrid, his dream club since he was a young boy.

To play for Real Madrid, he rejected $41 million a year at PSG of his salary. At PSG, Mbappé earned around $73 million a year as a base salary, while at Real Madrid, he will earn around $31 million a year. Mbappé will still be the highest-paid player in the Real Madrid squad, but the salary cut is a huge number that is appreciated by Florentino Perez and the fans.

Diario AS reports that members at the club are very happy with Mbappé’s commitment to the club. A message from the club says that, “He is a very good person. He looked very focused, he came with a lot of ambition to start training and contributing, and very humble.”

Mbappé will try to win La Liga and the Champions League for Real Madrid this upcoming season, but he also mentioned that his goal is to adapt to the team, which is stacked with world-class talent. Mbappé said, “My objectives? I have many, but my first objective is to adapt well in the collective team. That’s the most important, because then the rest will follow.”

The World Cup winner hopes to prove that his free transfer to Los Blancos is worth it. It is a dream come true for Kylian Mbappé to now be considered a new Real Madrid player, as the former Paris Saint Germain star will only join the club as a free agent and will instead earn a signing bonus. He joined Real Madrid to win the Champions League and moved to Real Madrid to also be closer to more success in his career. He will look to do well in the next season after a poor UEFA EURO 2024 with the French national team.

Kylian Mbappé on where he will play next season

Mbappé is one of the best players in the world and can play as a striker or as a left winger. Vinicius Jr. is already the star left-winger on the Real Madrid team, but the club needed a striker on the team since Karim Benzema left last year.

Mbappé was asked about his favorite position and said, “I am a player who can play in every attacking position, score many goals, and provide assists. I think I’m a player who can make a difference on the pitch, but we have many players who can do that as well here. That’s why we’re the best.”
