During the latest training session at Campus PSG, Kylian Mbappe and his PSG teammates teased rookie Ousmane Dembele about his former team Barca.
PSG has just released a short video of the club’s training session. Accordingly, left-back Lucas Hernandez is said to have “joked too much” when talking about Barca, the former team of his teammate Dembele. In this recording, Mbappe can be clearly heard asking his close friend Dembele: “Hey, you just joined PSG from Barca, why don’t you sing?”. Singing, dancing, rapping, reciting poetry, telling stories, … which is the tradition of debuting rookies at PSG and many French clubs as well as French national teams.
Another player, identified by Foot Mercato as Hernandez, replied: “How can a terrible team like Barca teach you to sing?” The answer is said to be of the left-back who has just arrived at PSG from Bayern, making many Barca fans angry. “What about Barca? It’s ten thousand times better than your PSG”, an angry cule under the post.
PSG had a hard time signing French winger Dembele from Barca this summer for a fee of 50 million euros. The deal was thought to be broken at the last minute when Barca deliberately delayed in sending documents and documents for the French champion to complete the procedure to buy Dembele, even though he was present in Paris for a medical examination.
However, in the end, everything was resolved for Dembele to land on the yard of the Park of the Princes. And perhaps, that’s why Lucas Hernandez deliberately teased Dembele about his old team Barca.
PSG also just had their first victory of the new season when Mbappe shined brightly with a brace to defeat Ligue 1 runner-up Lens 3-1 in the third round of Ligue 1 2023/24.
