Injury Forces French Striker’s Substitution during France’s Clash with Ireland

After troubles with his ankle, this important France player just left the pitch

Olivier Giroud, Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann

France have just opened the score against Ireland in today’s Euro Qualifyer match. Aurelien Tchouameni scored the first goal of the game with a brilliant strike after a subtle pass of French captain Kylian Mbappe.

But the first half of the game in Paris also had some bad news for France. One key player was just subbed off after an injury in his left ankle. He received medical attention and tried to play the match but he asked to be subbed off minutes later.

The player left the match in the 26th minute after Didier Deschamps decided to replace him. France is currently on top of Euros Qualifyer Group B with a perfect record of 15 points (if they end up winning the match today).

Olivier Giroud left the pitch injured

Minutes after receiving medical attention in his left ankle, Olivier Giroud ended up being subbed off by Didier Deschamps. Head coach sent Marcus Thuram into the pitch. Milan fans are already worried about Giroud because he’s the main striker in the ‘Rossoneri’. Official communication from France staff is expected later.
