Riyad Mahrez, the star of FOOTIE, has secretly married beauty Taylor Ward.
They dressed all in white for the Nikah, a Muslim ritual in which they signed a contract that formally married them under Islamic law.
During the service, the pair said “qubool,” which means “I accept,” three times.
According to sources, Manchester City ace Riyad, 30, and Taylor, 23, will have a second ceremony to make their union legal in the UK.
“Riyad and Taylor are now legally married under Islamic law following their ceremony late last year,” a source stated.
“It was important for them as a couple to follow his religion’s traditions.”
“The ceremony was short but sweet, and it set them on their way to their second wedding, which will be the main event.” Taylor and Riyad are overjoyed and much in love.”
After 16 months of dating, the couple got engaged in June of last year, according to The Sun.
Riyad proposed with a £400,000 ring while Taylor was on vacation in Mykonos, Greece, with her parents, Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn, 47, and former footballer Ashley, 51.
They were joined for lunch by close friends, and Riyad proposed afterward.
Riyad and Taylor purchased a £2 million home in Cheshire last year.
He was previously married for six years to Rita Johal, the mother of his two daughters.
The Sun reported in February 2020 that Riyad had called it quits on their marriage.
