Disappointed with the draw, but always proud of our team’s efforts. Great goal from Mbappe! We’ll bounce back stronger.

Kylian Mbappe helped Paris Saint Germain (PSG) score the opener, but coach Luis Enrique’s team still had to unfortunately divide points against home team Lille in round 16 of Ligue 1.

PSG marched to Lille’s field without the services of goalkeeper Donnarumma due to suspension. Notably, Ethan Mbappe, the younger brother of striker Kylian Mbappe, is still only 16 years old but is still registered on the playing list.

With a more quality squad, PSG dominated the match with more ball control, but they only had one shot on target in the first half as the home team played tight defense.

Meanwhile, Lille also created many dangerous opportunities towards goalkeeper Arnau Tenas’s goal, but the first half ended without any goals scored. Entering the second half, the deadlock was broken with striker Mbappe’s goal on the penalty spot in the 67th minute of the match.

Before that, defender Diakite fouled Lucas Hernandez in the penalty area and the referee immediately pointed to the penalty spot. Mbappe easily defeated goalkeeper Chevalier to open the score for PSG.

Being behind, the home team Lille raised their squad and created enormous pressure on the away team. It seemed like PSG would win all 3 points, but in the 90+5 minute, Jonathan David scored accurately to help Lille retain a point at home.

Unfortunately dropping 2 points at the last minute, PSG still maintained the top position with 37 points after 16 rounds, 5 points more than second-placed team Nice when in this round coach Francesco Farioli’s team lost to Le Harve by a score of 1-3.
