Jude Bellingham is very excited about the prospect of playing alongside Kylian Mbappe.
The Frenchman is on his way to Real Madrid. Mbappe has played his final game for PSG and has been talking up his next club in the media in recent days without mentioning the name of Los Blancos.
It is football’s worst-kept secret that the 25-year-old will play his football at the Santiago Bernabeu next season and an official announcement won’t be long in coming. While Real Madrid are currently fully focused on the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund, Mbappe is expected to be unveiled before the start of Euro 2024 on June 14.
Having been burned by Mbappe before, when he rejected a move at the 11th hour in 2022, Real Madrid have been tight-lipped about the impending arrival of the French megastar. However, several players have addressed the speculation and links with Mbappe in recent months and Jude Bellingham is the latest star to break his silence.
Bellingham looking forward to Mbappe arrival
Speaking to RTVE, the English wonderkid couldn’t hide his excitement when confronted with the prospect of potentially featuring alongside Mbappe.
“Mbappe would take us to a different level,” Bellingham said. “It would be a pleasure to play with him.” The 20-year-old is evidently not concerned about the changes his arrival will affect at the Bernabeu.
The Englishman could be forced into a more withdrawn role off the back of the signing of the PSG attacker, potentially curtailing the stunning impact he has so far had in Madrid. However, the pros of signing a player like Kylian Mbappe will likely outweigh the cons.
Bellingham probably knows that his Real Madrid side could become nigh on unbeatable for the foreseeable future following the addition of Mbappe.
