Brazilian football star Neymar Jr. is all set to compete in the E-sports World Cup In Saudi Arabia.

Neymar Jr. is one of the biggest football players on the planet and is widely considered as the best footballer of this generation after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Neymar who is currently signed with Saudi club Al-Hilal is working to make his comeback to football as he currently recovers from an ACL injury.

Neymar signed with Al-Hilal in 2023 when Al-Hilal paid 90 Million for the winger making him the most expensive signing in the Saudi Pro League. Neymar earned his fame at a young age and eventually when he signed for FC Barcelona he became one of the best in the world. He continued his story in PSG where his time there was plagued with injuries.

Neymar To Compete In E-Sports World Cup 

Currently the E-Sports World Cup is going on in Saudi Arabia. Neymar has not made any attempts to shy away from the fact regarding how much he loves gaming. For one evening, Neymar has decided to step off the football pitch and instead compete in gaming. Neymar will be participating in the celebrity show match in the E-Sports World Cup.

He will be playing three different games- Counter Strike 2, Rocket League and Tekken. Several fans have taken to social media to make fun of this by speculating Neymar might be leaving football as he is a rare sight on the pitch these days with all the injuries he gets and might make a career as a gamer.

When Can Fans Expect To See Neymar Back On The Pitch? 

Neymar who has been recovering from his ACL injury for the past few months, has been working hard to get back to showcasing his magic on the pitch. According to doctors, Neymar has been making some very good progress on his injury. Neymar can be expected to play again in September as said by Al Hilal coach.
