Neymar Jr. has been out of action for a long time after he suffered an ACL injury last October while playing for the Brazilian national team. The Brazilian star only managed to play five games for Al Hilal in his debut season, which was underwhelming for him and for the Saudi Pro League club, especially since they paid more than $90 million for Neymar last summer. Neymar’s contract with Al Hilal expires in the summer of 2025, and it looks like he will make it up to them as he is ready to play for the team next season. In a live stream, where Neymar is playing Poke with Jimmy Butler, Ryan Garcia, and more, the Brazilian was asked when he is expected to be back playing football. Neymar revealed that by the end of September, he should be fully fit and ready to play for Al Hilal and the Brazilian national team, which will still be playing for the World Cup qualification matches in South America.
Neymar has been hinting that his return to the football pitch is getting closer as he has been posting videos and pictures on his social media pages about his training regime and his workouts. The Brazilian has been outside doing exercises with a personal trainer, who works on his rehab and his fitness levels. In the recent videos he posted, he was training with Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus, who was not called up for the Copa America 2024 USA.
Neymar’s time off has led him to go out with his family and friends around the world. The proof is now that he was with the popular live streamer, Ninja, on his livestream, playing poker in the United States. While Neymar was in the US, he also went to visit the Brazilian national team, which is set to make its debut in the 2024 Copa America tomorrow. Neymar was seen next to Vinicius Jr., Marquinhos, and Raphinha. Brazil will be playing against Costa Rica tomorrow at the SoFi Stadium, and Neymar is expected to watch the match. Neymar also trained on his own in California at UCLA.
Rodrygo says he is wearing Neymar’s shirt for Copa America
Rodrygo is one of the star players on the Brazilian national team this summer for Copa America, and he will be wearing the iconic number 10 shirt. Many great legends have worn that shirt number, and Rodrygo feels the pressure and claims that it belongs to Neymar.
Rodrygo said, “My relationship with Neymar? We were talking yesterday or before. I always try to make this clear to him, that even though I’m wearing the #10 shirt now, it’s his shirt. I’m just substituting for a moment. We are waiting. Whenever I talk about Neymar, I will talk with a smile on my face, with a sparkle in my eyes. He’s my idol, he’s the guy I like watching play football the most. So we were talking, I think he should go to training, or come here to the hotel someday. I will definitely pick up some tips. Neymar is the best we have, so we always have to learn from the best.”
