Neymar is often mentioned when comparing a young Brazilian star from Palmieras, and some consider him to be better than Endrick. Chelsea have confirmed that a deal has been agreed to sign Estevao Willian from Palmeiras. His nickname is Messinho, and he will be playing for Chelsea next summer when he is 18. The player is currently 17 years old, and he was born in 2007. Chelsea signed him for a fixed fee of $34 million with lots of add-ons that equal around $27 million. The whole package deal is worth more than $61 million. Chelsea posted the signing on their social media pages, and he is seen as the future of the club since his level has the potential to be one of the best in the world. Chelsea wrote, “Chelsea Football Club has agreed a deal to sign teenage forward Estevao Willian from Palmeiras, with the Brazilian to officially join Chelsea next summer.”
Chelsea’s statement about the player reads, “The 17-year-old has already built a strong reputation in South America as one of the most exciting talents around due to his skillful dribbling and electric pace, causing defenses plenty of problems in his breakout season in senior football.”
Chelsea continues to talk about his stats so far as the club wrote, “Estevao has featured 10 times in the Brazilian Serie A for Palmeiras, contributing two goals and two assists, as well as also finding the net in the Copa Libertadores and Copa do Brasil.”
Estevao William rejected FC Barcelona?
The young Brazilian winger has also been causing interest from FC Barcelona for the past couple of months, and William is a big fan of the Catalan club. Barcelona was not prioritizing the signing of William, which led to Chelsea moving forward with a deal for him. Fabrizio Romano reported that A club tried to hijack Estevao’s to Chelsea deal, but Estevao wanted to go to Chelsea and had given his word to Chelsea. Some fans believe it to be FC Barcelona.
