Kylian Mbappe has spoken to CNN about his shock move from PSG when it seemed a given that he would be switching clubs. The French striker admitted it was an unpleasant experience, which he wouldn’t wish on anyone.
With just days to go until Kylian Mbappe announces his next destination, which will be Real Madrid barring a surprise, the ins and outs of his latest renewal with PSG have come to light in an interview with ‘CNN’.
The French striker admitted that he had a tough time until he committed himself to the Parisian club, suggesting that he was under pressure from the board to stay at the club: “In a career you have to make difficult decisions and that’s what I’ve had to do so far. I am the top scorer in the club’s history and I want to keep the good things. What happened in 2022 was not easy and it’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone”.
“It wasn’t just a matter of whether or not to stay at PSG. There was the World Cup in Qatar and everything around it. It was a difficult decision, definitely difficult…” continued Mbappe, who nevertheless explained that he had no regrets about staying with the club: “I don’t regret any of it.”
In the last few hours, some of the French international’s statements had already been leaked in a chat with ‘CNN’ in which he also showed his love for Milan and once again sent the ball out of his mouth when asked about his future team.
