WHAT HAPPENED?
Mbappe has played his final league game for the Parisians, with manager Luis Enrique not selecting him for his side’s trip to Metz on Sunday evening. The forward recently announced that he would be leaving at the end of the season, with Real Madrid set to snap him up on a free transfer.

Mbappe also missed his side’s 2-1 win over Nice on Wednesday due to what was described as a ‘medical precaution’ after the star forward felt discomfort in his hamstring. It is possible that the club looking to protect his fitness with the Coupe de France final still to come on Saturday.
DID YOU KNOW?
Mbappe is not the only big name omitted from Enrique’s squad for the Metz clash with Ousmane Dembele and Fabian Ruiz also left back at home despite not being on the club’s medical list. Just like his compatriot, Dembele was unavailable for the win over Nice in midweek but was expected to return on Sunday. As for Ruiz, the midfielder played against Nice but was subbed off for Carlos Soler in the second half.
WHAT NEXT FOR MBAPPE?
The Frenchman will hopefully be fit and available for PSG’s last game of the season when they take on Lyon in the final of the French Cup It will also be his final match with Les Parisiens with a move to Madrid imminent this summer.
