Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr lose out on the Saudi Pro League to Neymar’s Al Hilal.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr suffered a big blow as Al Hilal officially won the Saudi Pro League after winning 4-1 against Al Hazem at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium. Even though he is out injured, Neymar won his second trophy with Al Hilal in his debut season while only playing five games this season before his ACL injury last October. The situation between Ronaldo and Al Nassr is not great, as their next game in the Saudi Pro League is against the new champions, Al Hilal. Normally, when a champion is already crowned, in the next game, the opposition team gives them the guard of honor for their achievement, and it could be possible to see Al Nassr clap their rivals Al Hilal in their own stadium.
Al Nassr and Al Hilal will play against each other next Friday at Al Awal Park. The rivalry between the two clubs is strong since they are the strongest teams in the Saudi Pro League. In their last encounter, Al Hilal defeated Al Nassr 2-1 in the Saudi Super Cup semifinal, where Ronaldo received a red card. It is still unknown if Al Nassr will have to give the guard of honor to Al Hilal in their own stadium after being crowned league champions.
Al Hilal is first in the league with 89 points after 31 games played, while Al Nassr is second with 77 points. The upcoming Saudi Pro League match between the two sides won’t be the last time the teams face off this season. Al Hilal and Al Nassr will meet in the King’s Cup final at the end of the month, and CR7’s team will look to win another trophy over Neymar’s team since they did it in the Arab Club Champions Cup final due to a Ronaldo brace in the 2-1 win.

Ronaldo’s former club, Real Madrid, received a guard of honor from Granada in La Liga after clinching the title last week. Granada was Madrid’s first league game since being crowned La Liga champions. Granada showed respect to Real Madrid despite playing in their own stadium and being relegated from La Liga.
