Neymar was interviewed and the Brazilian talked about his friend Lionel Messi.
Football witnessed some amazing partnerships in many teams over the years. One that many football fans will never forget is the iconic MSN trio, which included the attacking force of Neymar, Luis Suarez, and Lionel Messi at FC Barcelona. The trio went on to win big trophies like La Liga, the Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup. In the 2014/2015 season, Barcelona won the treble for the second-ever time in its history.
Neymar reunited with Messi at PSG when the Argentine left FC Barcelona in 2021 and joined Neymar in Paris that summer. They played together for two years at PSG, where they won the Ligue 1 title two times. They were not successful in the Champions League as the team couldn’t get past the Round of 16 for the two years that Messi was there.
Both left PSG last summer, with Messi joining Inter Miami in the United States while Neymar went to Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia. While Messi has taken over America with his popularity and his performances on the pitch, Neymar has not been so lucky after leaving PSG. Neymar suffered an ACL injury during a World Cup qualification match for Brazil. Since then the Brazilian is injured and recovering through rehab at home and now at Al Hilal facilities.
Neymar was present at the F1 Bahrain GP today, and an interviewer from ESPN Argentina asked him about possibly playing with Lionel Messi again in the near future. Neymar said, “Me and Messi playing together again? I hope so, I hope we will get to play together again. He’s a great person, everyone knows him. I think he’s happy [in Miami] and if he’s happy I’m happy too.
