Real Madrid has just made a big step forward in recruiting star defender Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich.
Leading prestigious newspaper The Athletic reported that Real Madrid has reached a personal agreement with Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies. The La Liga giant surpassed Barcelona and a series of big clubs in the Premier League to get this deal.
Davies is considered one of the best full-backs in the world in recent years. His peak was the 2019/20 season when he helped Bayern Munich achieve a historic 6th cup.
According to The Athletic, Real Madrid and Alphonso Davies have agreed on a transfer deal this summer if an agreement is reached with Bayern. If not, both sides will wait to sign a free transfer contract in 2025, similar to the case of David Alaba in 2021.
But with Davies only having one year left on his contract, Bayern Munich will be pressured to sell their key player if they don’t want to lose everything. Because it is the last year of the contract, it is difficult for them to ask for a high price of about 70-80 million Euros.
Reaching an agreement to recruit Alphonso Davies is a big step in the process of building Real Madrid’s Galacticos 3.0 galaxy. Since Marcelo’s form dropped and left in 2022, the Spanish Royal Club has not yet found a left-back high enough to fill the position of the former Brazilian captain. But now they are very close to Davies, the most valuable player on the market in his position.
Recently, Los Blancos is also said to have nearly completed the deal to recruit Mbappe for free this summer. The presence of Mbappe and Davies will make Real Madrid’s left wing more dangerous than ever when it has two speedy superstars, not to mention Vinicius Junior. This trio promises to overwhelm even the strongest defenses in the world in the future.
