Goalkeeper Andriy Lunin made the choice between Mbappe and Haaland, both players are in contact with the Royal Spanish team.
Real Madrid’s Andriy Lunin has made the choice between Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe. Both of these players are top stars in world football and are strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid.
There are many mixed opinions when Real targets these two players, but when asked about his choice in a quick Q&A, goalkeeper Lunin was not afraid to make a choice.
The White Vultures’ current No. 1 goalkeeper has targeted Manchester City’s Norwegian star instead of the French talisman and Paris Saint-Germain. Lunin told El Chiringuito: “It’s number nine, Erling Haaland.”
Lunin’s choice appears to be guided by Haaland’s suitability in the traditional number 9 role, as opposed to Mbappe’s versatility in a variety of attacking positions. If one of the two superstars joins Madrid, it will be the next historic contract for the Spanish Royal team, strengthening its strength when Real also owns top stars such as Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham.
Mbappe has always been a star desired by Real Madrid. Mbappe is said to have made the choice to leave PSG in the summer. That means Mbappe will give up a huge loyalty bonus worth 80 million Euros. PSG identify potential replacements for Mbappe, including Marcus Rashford, Victor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko, as they prepare for the possibility of his departure this summer.
In the immediate future, Mbappe remains committed to the French team and is determined to win as many titles as possible with them at the end of the season. Especially aiming to win the Champions League for the first time in the team’s history.
As for Haaland, there is no certainty that Man City can retain their number 1 striker. Coach Pep Guardiola also sent an ultimatum to Real Madrid: “Call Man City and ask.” It will be interesting to see what happens in the upcoming 2024 summer transfer window.
