Erling Haaland’s reaction to De Bruyne’s goal was priceless. The sheer emotion and excitement spoke volumes about the beautiful game we all love.

On social networks, striker Erling Haaland posted a special and exciting post to celebrate Man City’s breathtaking victory over Newcastle in round 21 of the 2023/24 Premier League.

Specifically, striker Erling Haalaand shared on his personal Instagram page a picture of a glass of milk with the caption: “Need a glass after the match.” Compared to De Bruyne, Haaland has not yet been able to return to play but still follows and cheers his teammate as well as the members of Man City in each match.

 

In round 21 of the 2023/24 Premier League, Man City, despite having to be a guest at St. James’ Park beat Newcastle 3-2, with Kevin De Bruyne’s brilliance in the second half making the difference.

Although Man City took the lead thanks to Bernardo Silva, Newcastle later led 2-1 thanks to brilliant situations from Isak (35′) and Gordon (37′). From leading to being behind, Man City pressed forward with a strong attack in the second half. However, the defending champion appeared deadlocked and the difference only came when coach Guardiola decided to put De Bruyne on the field to replace Silva in the second minute. 69. Less than 5 minutes after appearing, the Belgian star made a difference.

It only took 5 minutes for the Belgian midfielder to score the equalizer for The Citzens. In the last minutes, none other than De Bruyne assisted young talent Oscar Bobb to score to help Man City win 3-2 against Newcastle.

In 21 minutes on the field, De Bruyne showed his class with 3 clearing passes, 1 goal and 1 assist. After only 103 minutes of play in all competitions this season, De Bruyne had 1 goal and 2 assists in 3 matches.

Scoring and assisting against Newcastle, De Bruyne became the first player to both score and assist for Man City in a Premier League match, coming on as a substitute since Sergio Aguero did so in September. January 2014.

Including the assist against Newcastle, De Bruyne has a total of 103 successful passes in the Premier League in his career. Thus, the 32-year-old midfielder has surpassed Lampard (102), and also equaled Wayne Rooney’s assist record (103) in the Premier League.

Currently, De Bruyne is ranked 3rd in the top assists in the Premier League with Wayne Rooney. Both ranked behind leader Ryan Giggs (162) and second place Fabregas (111). If he maintains his current form, the Man City star will soon equal or surpass Fabregas.

Looking at De Bruyne, MU fans are even more humiliated with Antony. The 100 million euro contract played 909 minutes (according to Statman Dave) in the Premier League this season but had no goals or assists. Counting a total of 21 matches in all competitions, the former Ajax star had no assists or goals.

In the end, Man City defeated Newcastle with a score of 3-2. This victory more valuable than gold helps Man City climb to second place in the 2023/24 Premier League with 43 points, 2 points behind top team Liverpool. In round 22, Green Man will host Burnley on February 1. Before that, they will meet Tottenham in the FA Cup fourth round on January 27.
