Manchester United Club announced that midfielder Jadon Sancho will play for Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season.
Jadon Sancho played for Dortmund from 2017 to 2021. He became a bright young talent when he scored 50 goals and contributed 64 assists to the German team. Thanks to that, Sancho was noticed by many big teams.
Finally, in 2021, Man United decided to spend up to 85 million euros to buy this midfielder from Dortmund. However, the English player has not met expectations compared to the amount of money the club spent. He has appeared in 82 matches but only scored 12 goals.
It’s worth mentioning that in the 2023 – 2024 season, he only played 3 matches for the “Red Devils” with a total time of only 76 minutes. Since the end of August, Jadon Sancho has no longer been allowed to play after publicly criticizing coach Erik Ten Hag.
The tense relationship between the two sides forced Man United to find a solution for Jadon Sancho.
In the end, the “Red Devils” decided to loan the old man back to Dortmund until the end of this season. In this deal, Man United can only earn a maximum of 4 million euros.
Even according to the British press, they still have to pay part of Jadon Sancho’s salary during his time in Dortmund.
Right after making his Dortmund debut on the evening of January 11, Sancho made statements praising the home team at Signal Iduna Park.
He said: “As soon as I entered the dressing room I immediately felt like I was coming home. I know this club inside and out. I have always been close to the fans and have never cut contact with those in charge. in Dortmund”.
Returning to his old team, Jadon Sancho will wear shirt number 10. This weekend, he may be able to play immediately when Dortmund faces Darmstadt in the Bundesliga.
