Manchester City’s striker Erling Haaland went under the spotlight in the last few hours, as the Norwegian player was announced as the leader of an important classification ahead of his compatriot Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, who were far away from the Manchester City stats in the table.
The classification in question was made by the CIES Football Observatory, an independent football organization based in Switzerland, which observes and analyzes the performances of the football players in a regular way, presenting exclusive data and analysis on their numbers in the competitions.
In this sense, Manchester City’s Norwegian striker Erling Haaland was listed first as the best striker of the season according to his minutes and games played, his interventions in the games and the results obtained. He was on the top of the classification ahead of Antoine Griezmann from Atletico de Madrid, who was placed second, and Rodrigo Goes and Vini Jr from Real Madrid, placed third and fourth in the table respectively.
Messi surprisingly wasn’t on the list
