After Bernardo Silva and John Stones returned to training, Manchester City’s team is almost fully fit again

Bernardo Silva and John Stones went back to training with Manchester City to help Pep Guardiola.

The Blues have had a lot of fitness problems lately, and Silva hasn’t played since the Champions League win over Red Star Belgrade last month. Stones hasn’t started for Chelsea since the Community Shield either. Because of injuries, Guardiola put together a weaker team for last week’s Carabao Cup game at Newcastle. After City lost that game, they played a better team in their first Premier League loss of the season at Wolves and lost.

Both players are back in training, which is good for the team, especially before the big game against Arsenal this weekend. It remains to be seen if they will be fit enough to play against RB Leipzig on Wednesday. Mateo Kovacic and Jack Grealish have both returned to action for Wolves. Kevin De Bruyne is the only player who will not be able to play until the New Year because of a leg injury he got in the first Premier League game of the season.

When Guardiola talks to the reporters on Tuesday afternoon, he might have more information about how fit the players are. The weather means that City will have to fly later than planned and will not be able to hold their news conference in person in Germany. Instead, they will speak from the UK.

Young players Alfie Harrison and Micah Hamilton, as well as left-back Tom Galvez, trained with the first team on Tuesday morning before their trip to Germany. They will hope to play in the UEFA Youth League, even if not all of them are on the first team.
