Real Madrid’s Rodrygo is hoping to see Kylian Mbappe complete a move to Real Madrid this summer, as the PSG superstar’s future remains uncertain.
Mbappe has returned to the French capital for pre-season, but remains in a contract stand-off with the Ligue 1 champions, with Madrid ready to pounce on any movement from the club or player.
The French forward remains adamant that he won’t sign a contract extension with the club and plans to leave the Parc de Princes upon the expiry of his current deal next year.
However, the club want Mbappe to trigger his one-year extension as they do not want to lose the player for free next summer. It’s a stalemate that could still see the 24-year-old make a sensational move to Madrid this summer.
One man who’s hoping that the deal can be done is Real’s attacking star Rodrygo, who commented on the situation during an interview with Sport TV.

The Brazilian admitted he wants to see Mbappe head to the Bernabeu, but is aware of the complicity of the situation.
‘At Real Madrid, it’s very complicated, there are always rumours and this year there were rumours about Harry Kane.’ Said Rodrygo.
‘When I arrived in Madrid there was a lot of talk about Pogba coming, so I don’t have any information we have to wait and see. Of course, I hope Mbappe comes because he will help us a lot. He is a real star, but we really don’t know anything.’
It is believed that Mbappe is willing to reject both an extension and a move this summer and will sit on the sidelines and sit out his £650-000-per-week deal if required.
New PSG boss Luis Enrique has indicated that Mbappe is part of his plans for the new season
However, new PSG boss Luis Enrique has already stated that he is open to including the 2018 World Cup winner as part of his plans for the new season.
If Mbappe does see out another year in Paris, he is set to pocket a mammoth loyalty bonus, believed to be in the region of £68m, which was put in place when he signed his eye-watering deal with PSG in 2022.
Mbappe could also bag a further £51m if he were to back down from his current stance and sign a new deal in France before July 31.
