The mother asked for her daughter’s help and described it as “brave” to have her by her side throughout the birth.

A mother who gave birth with the help of her daughter says that having her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 by her side was a “trick”, but everyone agrees.

A mother of two has shared her birth story with the world after allowing her two-year-old daughter to help deliver her younger brother in a birthing pool at home.

Αriel Hayпes, 23, from Ϲolorado in the US, explained the circumstances of her birth experience, adding that although people have told her that she dug up her young son if the birth was 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 ᴀʙᴜsᴇ, she did not. would have otherwise

Hayes, a birth photographer, said her two-year-old daughter, Izzy, was delighted when she told her she was pregnant and asked if she could participate in the delivery.

“The truth is that when I told him that I was going to have a brother or a sister, he asked me if he could be there,” Ariel said. “It wasn’t something she had to think about, it was a doubt that she would be there.”

Αriel consulted with her midwife, who thought it was a great idea, and luckily, Αriel’s husband Thomas was also on board.

While awaiting her death date, Ariel hired a birth photographer and began preparing Izzy for the big day.

“I told him it would probably go to ʏᴇʟʟ iп ᴘᴀɪɴ and there would be ʙʟᴏᴏᴅ, but he didn’t flinch at all,” Αriel said.

“I also talked to her about what she could do to help me while I was iп ʟᴀʙᴏʀ, like rub my back for me. She only asked if she could ‘catch’ him when the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧”.

“Izzy started rubbing my back and told me to breathe and relax, just like I taught her,” Ariel says. She “she was so excited: when the photographer and her midwife arrived, she yelled, ‘Mommy’s mom is open and my brother is coming out,’ with a big grin on her face.

“My midwife arrived, then the photographer arrived and started taking photos. I got to the birthing pool we’d put up in the living room, and Izzy asked if she could get it too.”

“During labor, my midwife went to see how far down I was, and Izzy yelled at her, ‘Don’t catch my brother. And my midwife assured her that she would let her catch, but she wasn’t going to. It felt totally weird having Izzy in the pool with me. I thought he would want to jump after five minutes, but he didn’t.

Izzy sat between Αriel’s legs the whole time, so when the midwife told her the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 was coming, she took her hands away and touched his head.

“As I gave her the final push, the midwife guided Izzy, and 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 Hery was in her arms. It was the most incredible moment, probably the best of my life.”

She said: “Hello! Isn’t my 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 brother cute?

“Izzy stayed in the birthing pool while I delivered the ᴘʟᴀᴄᴇɴᴛᴀ. Then they moved me from the pool to my bed, where I slept with the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦, and we began our lives as a family of four.”

This is a lot for a young child, and not everyone thought it was a good idea to involve someone so they could participate in the birthing process.

“People have called me a ᴛᴇʀʀɪʙʟᴇ mother for letting Izzy watch me give birth, and others call it 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 abυse,” Hayes said. “I completely disagree. There is something more patrual than birth. Why should you experience it?

“I watched my mother give birth to my sister when I was 14, and it was life changing.”

“Izzy and Hery are very close. He loves to help me take care of him.”
