Two high-speed hooligans raced through picturesque Mulholland Drive in their supercharged sports car early Thursday morning, skirting dangerously close to spectators admiring glittering Los Angeles before cops eventually caught them.
Caught on video, a black Ford Mustang is seen pulling away from Los Angeles Police Department cruisers on a high-speed pursuit, then rounding sharp bends on the iconic road until it crashed near a Sherman Oaks home.
The LAPD told The California Post the pursuit began near Saticoy St and Supulevda Blvd at 1:07 a.m. this morning for a “newer model black Ford Mustang.”

Video footage shows the car speeding away from police cruisers and around Mulholland Dr until police eventually successfully deployed spike strips, which disabled the car. The Mustang then crashed into the bushes near a home in the 3400 block of Woodcliff Road.
The severely wrecked fast car appeared to have deployed its airbag with its front end in the bushes.
One of the suspects reportedly tried to flee but collapsed to the ground and needed medical attention.

Police told The Post they requested an ambulance for a 40-year-old male, conscious and breathing but suffering from lower back pain. Another 40-year-old male at the scene also needed medical attention due to pain from the collision.
The Los Angeles Fire Department told The Post they transported one man due to a traffic accident.
A man could be seen at the scene of the 𝔠r𝘢sh with a neck brace and several marks on his face. He was then placed on a stretcher.
The 𝔠r𝘢sh pulled residents out of their homes in the quiet neighborhood to check out what was going on.
The second man, wearing a black shirt and appearing uninjured, can be heard bragging to cops that he had “just got out of the joint for felony evading.”
“I’ll wear you guys out,” he said, then claiming he was the passenger. “If I was driving, you wouldn’t have caught me, I swear to god.”

The LAPD took two suspects into custody at 6:23 a.m. this morning for felony evading, they told The Post.
Mulholland Drive is a famous narrow road in the Santa Monica Mountains known for having exceptional views of Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. Observers often park on the side of the road to peer at the views.
No spectator injuries were reported.
