Nine Lives Lost in Florida Learjet š” rš˜¢sh: Tech Entrepreneur Adam Robinson, His Young Family, and Others Killed

A private Learjet 60 crashed in Palm Beach County, Florida, on Sunday, November 1, 2026, claiming the lives of all nine people on board. The aircraft had departed Austin, Texas, bound for North Eleuthera in the Bahamas when it went down near Greenacres shortly before 1 p.m. local time. The impact occurred close to a residential area and a busy roadway, with the plane erupting into flames.

Among the victims were 45-year-old technology entrepreneur Adam Robinson; his wife, Helen Sharp, 40; and their two young children, Emma, aged 4, and Charlie, aged 2. Also killed were family friends Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr, the children’s nanny Anita Maria Cetina, the pilot Jeff Gregory, 55, and the co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, 20.

In a joint statement released by the families, they confirmed the idenтιтies of the seven pį“€ssengers and shared their profound grief. They described Adam and Helen as devoted parents whose children ā€œwere the light of their lives,ā€ and referred to the couple’s relationship as one that would endure forever. Reed and Fehr were remembered as people full of joy and a sense of adventure who deeply valued their relationships. Cetina was described as someone who had become a true part of the family while caring for the children.

Robinson had built a successful career in technology. He founded Retention.com in 2020 and grew the company to approximately $20 million in annual recurring revenue within a few years without external funding. He also led RB2B and had recently launched another data-focused venture. Before entering the tech sector, he worked as a credit trader at Lehman Brothers and later at Barclays Capital. In recent years, he and his family had settled in Aspen, Colorado—a place he had long dreamed of living—so he could spend more time with his children while his wife pursued her work as an artist and potter.

Helen Sharp operated a ceramics business and a public relations company. Her father, Dudley Sharp, publicly confirmed the loss of his daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren, calling it a devastating blow to the family.

The flight crew included Captain Jeff Gregory, an experienced pilot from Pennsylvania who held an Airline Transport Pilot certificate and was qualified to fly the Learjet 60. The co-pilot, Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, was only 20 years old. She had earned her pilot’s license in 2023 at the age of 17 while still a high school senior, through a specialized aviation academy program at her Florida school.

According to air traffic control recordings, the pilot reported light clear ice and moderate turbulence while cruising at 35,000 feet. He requested and received clearance to climb to 37,000 feet. Moments later the aircraft began a steep and rapid descent. The pilot declared an emergency and then a mayday, reporting an overspeed condition and a descent rate of 20,000 feet per minute. In one of his final transmissions he stated that the plane was going to š” rš˜¢sh into the ground.

National Transportation Safety Board investigators later noted indications that the aircraft may have been breaking apart in the air before impact, with debris recovered some distance from the main š” rš˜¢sh site. Weather conditions remain a central focus of the ongoing investigation. The NTSB is leading the probe with support from the Federal Aviation Administration, and recovery of the cockpit voice recorder is considered a priority.

One person traveling in a vehicle near the š” rš˜¢sh site sustained leg injuries. Authorities set up temporary shelters for residents of a nearby mobile home community who were displaced while investigators worked at the scene. Details regarding memorial services for the victims had not yet been announced in the immediate aftermath.

The tᩚraɢedy has left multiple families grieving the sudden loss of loved ones who were traveling together on what was intended to be a trip to the Bahamas. Investigators continue to examine the sequence of events that led to the rapid loss of control of the aircraft.
