Two suspects – including a 13-year-old boy – were busted in the gang-fueled stray bullet śh́óóting that wounded a 12-year-old girl on her way to meet a friend in the Bronx last month, cops said.
The young teen was arrested Saturday and Destin Burgess, 26, was picked up by police Tuesday, with both facing attempted murder and gun possession charges in connection to the Oct. 10 śh́óóting in Westchester Square, authorities said.
The bloodshed broke out when the gunmen spotted nearby rivals and opened fire while shouting, “Ewok! Ewok!” — a chant affiliated with the Makk Ballas, or Mac Ballers, a street gang tied to the Bloods, law enforcement sources said at the time.

The middle-schooler took bullets to her stomach and right foot at a park on Tratman Avenue between Rowland Street and St. Peters Avenue around 8:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.
After she was shot, the terrified girl immediately called her sister, Miral Alamouri, 14, the older sibling previously told The Post.
“She was like, ‘I got shot! Oh, I’m scared,’ and I’m trying to keep her awake because you don’t want her to go to sleep and get into a coma,” Miral said.

“It’s always the wrong person at the wrong time, and that shouldn’t be happening,” the sibling said. “You go to the park to sit there and play with your friends, not to get shot.”
The young girl — who was three days away from her birthday — was taken to Montefiore Hospital by a good Samaritan who was driving past when the śh́óóting occurred.
She required surgery on her abdomen, where doctors found holes in her colon from the bullet, and another procedure on her fractured right foot, according to her sister.
Neither the arrested teen, whose name was not released due to his age, nor Burgess – who was previously arrested for gun possession in August of 2025 – is accused of firing the śh́óts, according to a complaint filed in Bronx Criminal Court.

The suspected ɠυɳɱαɳ and one other man are still on the lam, the court doc said.
A black and tan Palmetto Armory pistol was found under the front tire of a nearby car parked near the scene, and seven loose live 9mm caliber cartridges and one live round of ammunition were also recovered, the complaint said.
Burgess was ordered held on $15,000 bail or $45,000 bond, despite prosecutors’ request for a much higher bail of $300,000 cash or $900,000 bond.
His next court appearance is scheduled for Friday, before a grand jury.
The status of the arrested teen was not immediately clear because his case is being handled in Family Court.
