💔 A Final Phone Call With Her Father

On Friday evening, Katie finished her shift at TD Bank in Brooklyn’s Bath Beach neighborhood around 6:30 p.m.

She met her parents near a Wendy’s restaurant, changed into running clothes, and headed out for an evening jog.

Running was something Katie loved, and she had been preparing for an upcoming marathon.

Approximately an hour later, her father called to check on her.

Katie told him she was only about half a mile away.

But ten minutes pᴀssed, and she still hadn’t arrived.

Growing increasingly concerned, her parents began searching along the Shore Parkway Greenway.

Her father eventually discovered her beneath a tree near Bay 17th Street, suffering from serious injuries to her neck.

Emergency responders rushed Katie to the hospital, where doctors fought to save her life.
