Lindsay Clancy’s ex-husband described her as a “fun-loving, outgoing person” in the years before she fatally strangled their three young children.

Patrick Clancy fondly remembered the early days of his relationship with Clancy, which sprouted in the summer of 2013.

“She was just a fun-loving, outgoing person. I think our first or second date, we flew a kite on a beach in Boston, and I think we had the same goals in life,” Patrick Clancy told “60 Minutes.”

“We both wanted families. We both wanted kids. And after two-and-a-half years, we were engaged.”

When asked what kind of mother Lindsay Clancy was to Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months old, the grieving dad described her as “very hands-on.”

“And I think… she reached that point that she sort of dreamed of,” he said.

It wouldn’t be until 5 months after Lindsay Clancy gave birth to Callan that he realized something was wrong with her.

She didn’t sleep for several nights, which resulted in a hospital visit and prescriptions for medication, Patrick Clancy said.

“It was a bit of a spiral for the next month, month-and-a-half,” the ex-husband said, explaining how she described experiencing “severe depression” and “a lot of anxiety” while still struggling to sleep.

“I didn’t know how to manage a postpartum illness. I think mєntal illness has this ability to be tragically deceptive, so I’m sure there are things that I didn’t see.”

“60 Minutes” released the extended interview with Patrick Clancy this week, days after the highly anticipated special aired in what marked his first sit-down since Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial ended in a hung jury.

The heartbroken father spoke about his children’s harrowing deaths and how he turned to EMDR, a trauma-focused psychotherapy, in the aftermath.

His new wife, Rachel Danis, also joined him for part of the interview and confirmed the couple — who tied the knot in April — are starting a family.

Eleven jurors agreed Lindsay Clancy was not guilty by reason of insanity, but one holdout, Michael Desronvil, believed the 𝘬iᩚller mom was guilty of murder.

Desronvil made a statement insisting he “didn’t have any doubts” and that “based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presented, I thought it was enough proof that she (Clancy) knew exactly what she was doing and planned.”

The panel, made up of nine women and three men, sent out three impasse notes. After seven days of deliberations, Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial.

Lindsay Clancy is due back in court Sept. 29, when prosecutors will likely reveal whether they will retry her case on the same charges, downgrade them, work out a plea deal or drop the case altogether.
