A clinical and forensic psychologist analyzed the body language of the mother of the 16 “Ohio house of horrors” children.

Dr. John Paul Garrison gave an educational analysis of the four members of the Siders family, who are currently in police custody for charges of child endangerment.

Elizabeth Siders, 33, her husband, Gary Siders Jr, 36, and her in-laws, Gary Siders Sr, 73, and Christina Siders, 67, were all and charged with second-degree felony child endangering after officers found all 16 children – ranging in age from one to 18 – living like “feral animals” in just one room in the filthy home.

Garrison gave a play-by-play  of a recently released jail video of the four adults. It comes

In his educational analysis of Elizabeth Siders, Garrison noted that Elizabeth, wearing a red shirt, displayed anxious body language.

“Look at how high up her shoulders are. This is somebody who, when you see them, just looks like a ball of tension. You can see just how bunched up her shoulders are,” he noted.

“It’s pretty evident right now that she is very defensive in her body language,” Garrison added.

He added that the “balled up” fists and tense shoulders appear to be her normal posture. “This is someone who appears so tense…. I would guess that this is the way she looks all the time,” he explained.

Garrison also theorized that Elizabeth’s lack of restraints could clue in that police don’t see her as a threat.

“One thing that’s interesting about Elizabeth Siders is we’re not seeing any ankle braces, we’re not seeing any handcuffs, which could speak to the facts of the case. For some reason, [police] don’t seem to find her to be a danger,” Garrison said.

The Siders family sparked nationwide headlines when officers allegedly discovered the 16 youngsters inhabiting a 12X12 room.

Authorities had discovered the 16 children after they served an unrelated search warrant at the Hamden residence.

Authorities have since acknowledged that the children were in such a dire state that they could have been facing “multiple deaths” had officers arrived just 24 hours later.

Gary Siders Jr, the children’s father, was already facing criminal charges before his arrest on June 30. Just one month prior to the raid on his home, he had been charged with four counts of public indecency.
