Kylian Mbappe is a cause for concern right now. Many believe that Real Madrid are struggling to see his killer goal-scoring ability. In three La Liga games, he has yet to find the back of the net.
The last goal which Kylian Mbappe scored was on his Real Madrid debut, in the UEFA Super Cup. When that goal went in, it felt like a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders.
However, the more time that progresses, the heavier the weight returns to his shoulders. Even for the greatest players, playing for Real Madrid comes with it plenty of scrutiny and pressure.
However, Carlo Ancelotti has already addressed the concern surrounding Kylian Mbappe, adding his own spin on the situation.
Carlo Ancelotti addresses frustrating Kylian Mbappe concerns
As per 90min, Carlo Ancelotti does not seem too concerned about Kylian Mbappe. In fact, he even claimed that Mbappe himself is not worried, and neither are Real Madrid for him.
In his own words, Ancelotti said: “The last goal Mbappe scored was 14 August [in the Supercup] and today is 28 August. That’s two weeks. It isn’t the time to worry. He isn’t worried, and neither are we. Vinicius [Junior] hasn’t scored in three games, and he doesn’t look worried.”
Carlo Ancelotti said this about Kylian Mbappe before the clash against Las Palmas, whereby the Frenchman failed to score again. Vinicius Junior did score his first goal of the season last night, from the penalty spot.
The truth is that for a player of Kylian Mbappe’s standards, he will be eager to net his first Liga goal for Real Madrid on Sunday, when Los Blancos host Real Betis.
However, it is good to see that the mood is calm at Real Madrid, regardless of Kylian Mbappe seeking his first domestic goal. It is conditions like this which will make players prosper, not a hostile environment.
